Welcome to a new cadet year at 767 Dearman Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron!

Whether your family is joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are excited to have you with us. We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, leadership, friendships, new experiences and opportunities for our cadets to grow.

Behind every successful cadet program is a strong community of families, volunteers, staff and supporters. The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) is proud to play a part in supporting our cadets and helping create a positive experience for them throughout the year.

We encourage parents and guardians to stay connected, ask questions and get involved whenever you can. Every contribution of time, ideas or support makes a difference.

💙 WHAT DOES THE SSC DO?

If you are new to the cadet program, you may be wondering what the SSC actually does.

The SSC works behind the scenes to support the Squadron and help provide opportunities for our cadets. This can include:

* Supporting fundraising initiatives
* Coordinating parent and community volunteers
* Supporting Squadron events and activities
* Helping with communications and family engagement
* Supporting cadet experiences and special events
* Working with community partners
Helping build a strong and welcoming Squadron community

Most importantly, we are here to support our cadets and their families.

Donations help support training resources, equipment, activities, transportation, cadet recognition, and special opportunities.

How you can help!

You don't need to join the SSC to help!

Throughout the year, we will have opportunities for parents and guardians to volunteer for individual events or activities. Some opportunities may only require a couple of hours of your time.

Whether you can help once a year or regularly throughout the year, we appreciate every volunteer.

Keep an eye on your email for upcoming volunteer opportunities and sign-up information.

🙋 Volunteer Opportunities

Join the SSC Executive Team – Interested in getting more involved? We welcome parents who would like to take on an SSC role.

There are lots of ways to support our cadets throughout the year!

🎉 Event Support – Setup, registration, activities and cleanup
💰 Fundraising – Help with fundraising events and bottle drives
🍕 Food & Refreshments – Help serve food and refreshments at events
📣 Communications – Photos, newsletter and promotional support
🤝 Community Support – Help with community events and sponsorships
