We’re growing our Mainland team!

Caribbean Hub is looking for Caribbean community members on the Mainland who want to get involved, contribute their skills and ideas, and help our Caribbean community thrive.

As we continue to grow our events, programs and partnerships on the Mainland, we want to build a strong local team of people who understand the Caribbean community and can help us make things happen.

This is a volunteer team, and we understand that everyone has different capacities. Some members may take on active leadership roles, while others may primarily contribute ideas, advice, connections or support when they’re available.

We’re looking for team members who can help with areas such as:

• Promoting events, programs and opportunities within the community
• Bringing ideas, critical thinking, feedback and local knowledge to the table
• Identifying and connecting us with consultants, contractors and other professionals
• Finding venues, suppliers and other local resources
• Identifying fundraising, sponsorship and in-kind opportunities
• Liaising with municipalities, venues and community partners
• Attending site visits when needed
• Helping recruit and connect us with volunteers
• Taking on Team Lead roles at events and programs
• Supporting areas such as volunteer coordination, vendor coordination, bar management, artist coordination and other event operations

What does being part of the team look like?

We’d like team members to be able to attend an online meeting approximately once a month to discuss upcoming events, programs, opportunities and needs.

We’ll also have a Mainland Team WhatsApp group where members can share updates, ideas, suggestions, resources and connections between meetings.

Beyond that, your involvement can depend on your capacity. You don't have to be available for everything. We want to build a diverse team where people can contribute in different ways while working toward the same goal: creating more opportunities, experiences and connections for the Caribbean community.
