Inclusion in Action: Where We’ve Been 💙

Event RECAP: Inclusion in Motion
Wheel Run for EVERYONE 5K

The Wheel Run for EVERYONE 5K was a resounding success, thanks in large part to our incredible partnership with the Grand Valley State University Physical Therapy students. This event brought together community members of all abilities to celebrate inclusive fitness and raise vital funds for our mission. The GVSU PT students played a crucial role, not only in coordinating race-day logistics but also in providing expert support to participants and advocating for a world where movement is accessible to everyone. Their energy and passion for mobility were contagious, making the day truly special for our runners, rollers, and supporters alike. We are so proud to collaborate with these future healthcare leaders to promote community wellness and accessibility!

Disability Awareness Day

Renew Mobility was proud to participate in Disability Awareness Day, hosted by Disability Advocates of Kent County. This annual event brings together individuals with disabilities, advocates, agency staff, and community members for a day of learning, networking, and connection. Attendees heard from inspiring keynote speakers, including Rynita McGuire, Miss Wheelchair Michigan 2025, and Elizabeth Hertel, Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Renew Mobility was on-site sharing resources and connecting with the community to support individuals and families impacted by disabilities. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community and be part of such an impactful event!

Volunteer Spotlight: Mark

Celebrating 6 Years with Mark

Mark joined Renew Mobility with a clear goal: helping others gain access to essential mobility equipment. Today, he continues to support that mission by refurbishing mobility equipment to ensure it’s safe and reliable. Mark loves working with our welcoming office team, but his true motivation is simple: “The need still exists.” Thank you, Mark, for your long-standing dedication to our family!

🤝Community Spotlight: Celebrating Occupational Therapy with our Partners at WMU🤝

April is Occupational Therapy Month! OT focuses on the "jobs" of living—helping our clients navigate their homes and stay active in the community.

We are especially grateful for our partnership with Western Michigan University’s OT students. These future professionals bring fresh expertise to our Equipment for Wellness Program, ensuring every device is tailored to each client's unique functional needs. Their dedication helps those we serve regain independence and live life to the fullest.

Thank you, WMU OTs, for your commitment to the Grand Rapids community!
