Dear PHCC Community,

In an effort to encourage greater collaboration and information sharing, we are sharing several upcoming meetings and events taking place across Pine Hills and surrounding communities. These opportunities allow residents to stay informed, connect with local partners, and participate in conversations that shape the future of our community.

PHCC is also partnering with Sunrise Movement Orlando and Las Semillas to host a Public Transportation Town Hall focused on transportation in Orange County. Residents will have the opportunity to hear from community advocates and share their own experiences with transportation access and mobility. Sunrise Movement will also introduce their proposed STAR Plan aimed at expanding rapid transit options in Orange County.

Additionally, we invite residents to join us for our upcoming PHCC General Meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, which will feature an Orange County District 7 Commissioner Candidate Forum. This will be an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent our community on the Orange County Board of County Commissioners.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the Pine Hills Community Council will host an Orange County District 7 Commissioner Candidate Forum during our monthly General Meeting as we continue Setting the PACE for a Better Pine Hills.

The meeting will take place from 6:00–7:45 PM at the Orange County Multicultural Center 7149 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32818 and will include a one-hour candidate forum where residents can hear directly from those seeking to represent District 7 on the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. Eight candidates have confirmed their attendance so far.

Residents are encouraged to attend, bring questions, and participate in the democratic process. Community questions for the forum may also be submitted in advance to Info@PineHills.Info.

Orange County has launched a Business Resource Office!

Orange County’s new Business Resource Office is now open! This new County service makes it easier than ever for small businesses and entrepreneurs to access the resources, programs, and training they need to grow and succeed. Whether you are a first-time business owner or a seasoned entrepreneur, the Business Resource Office is here to help you save time, avoid common challenges, and feel confident on your business journey. Stop by in person or receive assistance virtually through our Business Resource Office Dashboard.

The Neighborhood Services Division offers a number of grants to service residents of Orange County.

Community members are invited to apply for the Neighborhood Beautification Grant Program! This funding tool provides vital support for enhancing neighborhood entranceways, walls, and shared common areas, helping communities create welcoming and well-maintained spaces for all. Neighborhoods are eligible to receive up to $15,000 in funding. We encourage all interested neighborhoods to apply and help bring meaningful improvements to their community! The next deadline is Thursday, April 9, 2026

The Youth Sports Enhancement Grant provides funding of up to $15,000 to support community-based youth sports organizations in improving the quality, safety, and accessibility of their facilities. Eligible projects include lighting upgrades, turf replacement, and concession stand improvements designed to enhance the overall experience for young athletes, families, and spectators. This grant aims to strengthen community engagement, promote healthy youth development, and ensure that local sports programs have the resources they need to thrive.

Thank you to both our new and returning members for your continued support of the Pine Hills Community Council. Under the PACE Administration, PHCC currently has 114 paid members, and we expect to welcome our 115th member soon as a pending organizational membership is finalized.

Our current membership includes 30 adult members, 25 senior members, 40 student members, and 19 organization-level members representing institutions and partners throughout our community. We are also proud to share that all student memberships have been generously sponsored by members and community supporters, ensuring that young people can stay connected to civic engagement and leadership opportunities in Pine Hills.

Your commitment strengthens our ability to serve the community and advance initiatives that help Preserve a Clean, Safe & Prosperous Community. Together, we continue Setting the PACE for a Better Pine Hills, knowing that Together, We Can Make a Difference.
