SERVE Village Newsletter: October 2026 EditionHello First name, Fifteen years ago, SERVE Week started with a couple hundred volunteers serving on a couple of dozen projects. This June, over 680 volunteers completed 78 projects across Hamilton County. I've watched this grow year over year, and I still find myself amazed every June by what this community chooses to do for each other. Thank you for being part of it. Enjoy our Community Highlight in SERVE Village's July 2026 Neighbors & News. This month's Community Highlight features Travis Kauffman. Travis is the coach for the Hamilton Heights Lady's Huskies Soccer Team. He has led his team in serving for over a decade during SERVE Week instilling a sense of pride and collaboration beyond the pitch. Your Neighbor, Patrick Propst Executive Director ![]() SERVE Village will be a partner with The Hamilton County Long Term Recovery Group, doing what SERVE does best: connecting Neighbors with Neighbors. SERVE Villages primary mission will be volunteer management. SERVE Village will help spread the word, share opportunities for Villagers to get involved and point Neighbors toward the support they need. The Hamilton County Long Term Recovery Group is its own organization and will lead all recovery efforts, including assistance and rebuilding. SERVE Village remains focused on our mission of building community on purpose through service, connection, and celebration. When our community is strongly connected, we are ready to show up for one another in hard seasons and good ones. It takes a village. SERVE shows you how to build one. Community Highlight: SERVE Celebration RecipentsThis year's SERVE Celebration brought our community together to do what we love most: recognize the Neighbors and partners who show up, again and again, believing in connection, collaboration, and investing in the place we all call home. Every award below honors a different way a Neighbor shares what they already have — their time, their business, their sweat, their Saturday mornings — with the people around them. That's the heart of asset-based community development: we don't go looking for what's missing in a Neighbor or a neighborhood. We look for what's already there, and we celebrate it loudly. This Years SERVE Recipients are... "Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve." COMING UP!
