Prayers were heard & answered!

FALL JUNGLE MISSION TRIP:  October 22-31, 2026

You may remember from our July newsletter that there were no team members registered to go with trip leader, Sharla Henderson, to the jungle in October . . . which would have meant that the trip was going to be cancelled. I asked you to pray . . . you did . . . God heard . . . and then abundantly answered your prayers!

I am SO excited to share that the following four individuals will be going with Sharla Henderson this October for the missional purpose of evangelism and discipleship among the indigenous Urarina tribe:

Will Dewar from Collinsville, Oklahoma (Will went on the March 2025 Peru mission jungle trip)

Kelsey Jett from Boerne, Texas (Kelsey went on the March 2026 Peru mission trip to both Iquitos and the jungle)

Ruth Beedle from Boerne, Texas

Micah Upton from Boerne, Texas (his sister, Faith, went on the March 2026 Peru mission trip to both Iquitos and the jungle)

Not only did God put this team together like only He can . . . He also provided a great deal of funding through various sources which include FBC Boerne, Completing the Task, Inc., and past, generous donors. THANK YOU!!! Two trip members are actually already fully funded! Praise the Lord! We are only $2,610 away from the entire team being fully funded as well! SOUTH ASIA MISSIONS UPDATE!!!

FALL SOUTH ASIA JUNGLE MISSION TRIP:  October 6-17, 2026

Paul Edwards will be leading a trip to South Asia to go visit one of LIM's Ministry Partners and his ministry field beginning the second week of October.  He will work with the leaders from a number of churches, train teachers at several schools on things like teaching strategies and classroom management, do door to door prayer and evangelism in local villages, and work with students at a school to do Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) projects!  While admittedly the most important work that will take place is the nightly prayer and evangelism, the team will engage in these other efforts so as to lift up the stature of the school in the eyes of the community.  This is all about gaining their favor and expanding the ministry reach of the school. May God use these efforts for His glory!

As I reflect back on the last three years . . . and even further back than that, I can clearly see God's hand as He so graciously guided us to the formation of Lean In Ministries. He was going before us long before we even knew we were headed in this direction. Everything has led us to this point . . . to a ministry with the intentional, missional purpose of taking His Good News to the unreached and making disciples in His name.

Many of you have been with us from the start. Some of you are new to supporting either a trip member, Ministry Partner, and/or our General Fund. Know that we are grateful for each and every one of you . . . as it takes each person for this ministry to function.

In addition to thanking our donors, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our amazing Board of Directors, all of whom serve on a volunteer basis. Lean In Ministries has no paid employees, and I am so grateful for their commitment and service to this ministry.
