We feel horrible emailing you again today, but we promised to keep you up to date on C-9...and WE HAVE AN UPDATE, JUST IN.

After being cancelled unexpectedly last Thursday, the Justice Committee meeting—which will analyse and vote on any proposed amendments to C-9—is back on for tomorrow (Tuesday, December 9th) from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
As we know, the Bloc is expected to table an amendment that would remove protection for sincerely held religious beliefs. Tomorrow (Tues, Dec. 9) the committee is expected to go through each clause of the bill, and amendments may be introduced and voted on.
We are unsure what last Thursday’s cancellation means — it could indicate that the Liberals are reconsidering. If so, it would be a direct result of the messages they received from Canadians. Your calls have been incredibly impactful!
However, we do not know for certain that they have changed their minds (though this article is encouraging).
So, what should we do at this moment?
1 / Take nothing for granted. Once tomorrow passes, the window is gone. Continue calling members of the committee and Liberal MPs (especially if your MP ). Click here for the list of phone numbers — we have compiled them for you.
