Live from The Works Art & Design Festival

CJSR is broadcasting live from the 12-day festival down at Churchill Square. Hosts Rhea March and Alan Donnelly will welcome some of The Works' Street Stage performers to our airwaves. 

Canada Day

Wednesday, July 1, all day

CJSR won't be celebrating on July 1, instead we will be taking the day to reflect on the ongoing impacts of colonization.

Picking the brain of Indigenous rights expert Dr. Sheryl Lightfoot on the rights of Indigenous People, UNDRIP and the responsibilities of Canada and its residents.

Sidetracks miniseries: Opening Acts

This week our live-off-the-floor music show, Sidetracks, is kicking off a miniseries called Opening Acts. It features performers from various gigs around town who share the bill with headliners also heard on the show.

Señor Blues

Saturday, July 4 at 7-9am MT
Canadian blues-influenced R&B artist, Samantha Martin, from Toronto (originally Alberta) joins host Qasim Hirani. She'll share about putting out a new live album in May and prepping a new studio album for an early 2027 release.

Farewell to The Culture Vulture
The Thursday morning program (11am-12pm MT) diving into entertainment and pop culture has aired its final time (June 25, 2026).


Thanks to host ZAYCEEE for his time and commitment over the last year.

NEW! The Organ Grinder + Imaginary Landscapes share a time slot

Starting July 14 at 8-9pm MT

Host Joe Hartfeil's show full of music with a high organic content is shifting from its weekly Wednesday spot to every second Tuesday at 8-9pm MT.


The final Wednesday broadcast is July 1 at 1-2pm MT.


This change means Imaginary Landscapes is also changing to biweekly rotation. The two shows will share the time slot and alternate weeks.

CJSR is sharing how Edmonton's 12 Wards were named and are forever connected to the rich heritage of First Nations, Inuit and Métis of the region.


The segments were created in collaboration with pipikwan pêhtâkwan, Sticks&Stones and the City of Edmonton.

All throughout June, CJSR’s Bike Traffic Reporter, Karly Coleman (from Tuesday’s Toast Marketing Board) busted myths about cycling. Listen and share them anytime:

The indie pop band from Vancouver is headlining KDays Music Fest's Main Stage Wednesday July 22 at 7pm, with support from Edmonton's own, St.Arnaud.

The Edmonton 2 Spirit Society is hosting this free, family-friendly event. Open to all Edmontonians, the pow wow offers an opportunity to experience Indigenous culture and brings together dancers in full regalia, along with drum groups and singers.
