Topic: Join us for the June 2026 general body meeting of the Pine Hills Community Council. All community members are welcome to attend and participate. Our guest speaker will be from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and will discuss scam and fraud prevention education, identity theft awareness, and consumer rights information


What to Expect: Join PHCC for our monthly General Meeting featuring community updates, public safety information, organizational reports, upcoming community initiatives, and Orange County Sheriff’s Office Sector 1 updates. The meeting will also feature a special presentation by Ely Da Paz, Outreach Coordinator with the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Division of Consumer Services, on Consumer Protection, Scam Prevention & Identity Theft Awareness.

PHCC 54th / 50th Annivesary Meeting & Orange County Mayoral Forum Recap

The Pine Hills Community Council, Inc. proudly hosted the 2026 Orange County Mayoral Candidates Forum during its May 5 General Meeting, while also celebrating 54 years of service to the community and 50 years as an incorporated organization in the State of Florida.


More than 140 residents, community leaders, elected officials, and stakeholders gathered from across Pine Hills and Greater Orlando for an evening of civic engagement and dialogue surrounding the future of Orange County. Participating candidates included Randy Fust, Tiffany Moore Russell, Mayra Uribe, Stephanie Murphy, and Chris Messina.


PHCC extends appreciation to Moderator Sandra Fatmi-Hall, Timekeepers Dr. Latanya Nichols and Janai McKissick, along with community partners and public officials including Maxwell Frost, LaVon Bracy Davis, RaShon Young, Jerry L. Demings, Michael Scott, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, and CAP Village Orlando / Caribbean American Passport News Magazine for their support and engagement.


As PHCC continues commemorating this milestone year, the organization remains committed to advocating for residents, creating spaces for civic participation, and ensuring community voices remain at the center of important conversations.


PHCC Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) Initiative

In our upcoming newsletter, we will be delighted to share our PHCC / AAH Impact Report! We firmly believe that joining this program was a significant decision, and it has undoubtedly made a noticeable impact on the highway/road that the PHCC has adopted. About the Event: Democracy at the Community Level


The People's Hob Nob & Straw Poll is the Pine Hills Community Council's signature civic engagement event — a gathering where residents, candidates, and community leaders come together to build a more informed electorate.


"Connect with fellow community members and have your voice heard on important issues — before the General Elections."


Join us at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, Hall A on July 8, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Learn where candidates stand and find the one who aligns with your values. Don't just vote — vote informed.


This event is hosted by the Pine Hills Community Council — a nonpartisan 501(c)(4) nonprofit committed to civic education, community engagement, and empowering Pine Hills residents through informed participation.

Pine Hills Neighborhood Improvement District's Small Business Week Recap & Vacancy Notice

PHCC President Julien Serrano-O’Neil participated in the PHNID Small Business Week community engagement sessions focused on envisioning the future of Pine Hills and uplifting the voices of residents, faith leaders, community organizations, and stakeholders.


As conversations continue surrounding the growth and future of our community, the Pine Hills Community Council, Inc. remains deeply committed to ensuring the voices of our neighbors are heard, valued, and included throughout the process. PHCC has requested copies of the proposed renderings and plans from the PHNID Team so they can be shared with the community to gather additional input and feedback once received.


Together, we can continue building a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous Pine Hills for generations to come.


PHCC Has Two Vacant PHNID Advisory Council Seats

Are You Interesting in serving?


The Pine Hills Community Council, Inc. (PHCC) is currently seeking interested residents, property owners, and business stakeholders within the Pine Hills community who would like to be considered for recommendation to serve on the Pine Hills Local Government Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) Advisory Council.


At this time, PHCC has two vacant recommendation positions available.


The Pine Hills NID Advisory Council plays an important role in advising Orange County Government on community improvement priorities, neighborhood revitalization efforts, planning initiatives, and projects impacting the Pine Hills area. Members serve three-year terms and help guide recommendations related to infrastructure, beautification, safety, economic development, and overall community enhancement.


Eligible applicants must be residents or property owners within the boundaries of the Pine Hills Neighborhood Improvement District.


Individuals interested in being considered for the Advisory Council should submit a brief statement of interest and background information to the Pine Hills Community Council, Inc. Alternatively, they can contact us at Info@PineHills.Info for more information about the Advisory Council and its responsibilities.


You must be a member of PHCC for your recommendation to be considered.

2026 Community Action Division Resource Fair

Orange County Multicultural Center (Community Action Division) will host its annual Community Resource Fair. Community Action Division celebrates 61 years of helping individuals and families change their lives one day at a time! The purpose of this fair is to connect, inform and provide the Pine Hills Community with resources and services available in Orange County. The Pine Hills Community Council and the United Foundation of Central Florida will be in attendance at the resource fair.

2026 8th Annual “Phrozen Jewel 5K /10K” Hybrid run/walk

The Pine Hills Community Council, Inc. proudly encourages the community to support the 8th Annual “Phrozen Jewel 5K/10K” Hybrid Run/Walk hosted by the I.S. Hankins – F.A. Johnson Education Foundation in partnership with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc..


This year’s hybrid event will take place June 6–13, 2026, allowing participants to run or walk virtually from any location or join the in-person experience on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Jay Blanchard Park beginning at 7:06 AM.


Proceeds from the event support scholarships, the Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) mentoring program, the Head Start to Literacy Initiative, and other youth-focused community programs. Over the years, the Foundation has awarded more than $425,000 in scholarships and supported hundreds of young men and families throughout Central Florida.


Runners and walkers of all skill levels are welcome to participate. Registration options include in-person, virtual, international, children’s runs, and a kiddie dash.
