![]() Newsletter 16-June-2026 ![]() This Month's HighlightsMember SpotlightSome cars are more than just a purchase. They’re a story. For Cliff and Diana Shaw, the search for their Mustang became part of the adventure itself. Diana had one requirement from the beginning, it had to be a red Mustang convertible. As a Texas Tech graduate, the color choice was easy. Cliff had one rule of his own: they were absolutely not getting a Mustang without a V8. Thankfully, Diana agreed. That kicked off their year-and-a-half search for the right car. Originally purchased in 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina, this beloved Mustang had recently become part of an estate after the passing of its original owner. A special order from the factory featuring bronze rims and badging, this 2024 GT Premium with the Performance Package was everything Cliff and Diana imagined. ![]() They purchased the car from the estate while sitting in church one Sunday morning. Cliff insisted that “God would understand” him buying the car in church, and they had it shipped to Texas in January 2025 with only 610 miles on it. Today, the Mustang has just over 2,300 miles on it and recently earned “Best 2000 and Newer” at a local car show. ![]() One of the things we love most about car culture is that every vehicle carries a story with it. Sometimes it’s the memories attached to it, and sometimes it’s the journey of finally finding the one that feels just right. Thank you, Cliff and Diana, for sharing your Mustang and part of its story with the Driven Legacy community. ![]() ![]() ![]() Beyond the BedsideDriven Legacy is continuing to support Sherman Medical Center’s Beyond the Bedside program with ongoing collection drives at our events through the end of July. The largest remaining need is new and unused men's clothing and shoes. Thanks to donations from our community, and a partnership with First Christian Church Anna, we’ve already helped collect more than 2,500 items including toiletries, socks, shoes, and other essentials for patients in need. Check out this video from the care package assembly day we attended in Anna. This handsome 6-year-old German Shepherd weighs 64 pounds and is still searching for his forever home. Like many shelter dogs, Ricky needs someone willing to give him a little time to settle in and learn that he's finally safe. Once he does, you'll find the loyal companion he's meant to be. He can be a bit of an escape artist, so he'll need patience, supervision, and plenty of love as he adjusts to life with his new family. If you'd like to learn more about Ricky, be sure to ask about him when you visit DAWG.Community Celebrations![]() Wishing a very happy 39th Anniversary to Charlie and Jacalyn Staten, our Driven Legacy CEO and Executive Officer. 05/21/2026 05/08/2026 - Driven Legacy Sponsored DAWG Roxie got adopted! 05/21/2026 - Texoma Observer hit 1k Facebook Followers 05/23/2026 - Ryan Hiberd High School Graduation (Denison) 05/25/2026 - Driven Legacy Sponsored DAWG Lucy got adopted! 06/03/2026 - Kenny Tyler's 66th Birthday ![]() Do you have a special event you'd like to celebrate with us? ![]() Driven Legacy TX 501(c)(3) EIN: 39-4569459 drivenlegacy.org |
