Pasasalamat from PAMANA

Dear PAMANA,

In this season of gratitude, PAMANA wants to personally thank you for being a huge part of our small organization. Because of your support, we were inspired to serve our community and make the Filipinos' presence felt not only in Madison.

This year, PAMANA volunteered for community events like Brat Fest, the Willy St. Fair Parade, and IRONMAN Wisconsin. We also forged a successful partnership with Forward Madison FC that elevated Filipino visibility in sports at the national level.

During our annual Summer Picnic, PAMANA introduced our newest cultural ambassadors: the PAMANA Alab Dancers. We also mounted the Mother's Day Gala, where we celebrated the strength and contribution of Filipino women in South Central Wisconsin.

Just last month, PAMANA spearheaded the Filipino American History Month celebration. This unprecedented collaboration with various institutions culminated with an invite for us to speak at the State Capitol.

PAMANA invests heavily in our youth. In 2025, we supported students' artistic and cultural endeavors, like Mariah Moneda's MFA Thesis Exhibition and FASO's Philippine Culture Night. We also granted the PAMANA Scholarship to four graduating high school students—the most we awarded in a given year.

These are all big achievements for a humble nonprofit run by unpaid volunteers. Because of you, our volunteers continue to push the boundaries of Filipino-centered programming and service in South Central Wisconsin.

On behalf of the PAMANA Board, maraming, maraming salamat to all our dedicated volunteers for your hard work, and our supporters like you who keep on inspiring us to move forward.

Jay Ilagan and Charo Santos in "Kisapmata"

1981 | DCP | 99 min.
Director: Mike De Leon
Cast: Vic Silayan, Charo Santos, Jay Ilagan

A young woman’s announcement of her pregnancy and intent to marry triggers the wrath of her domineering father, a retired policeman whose grip over his family turns increasingly suffocating. As the couple tries to build a life together, the father’s manipulations escalate into a chilling battle for control. Inspired by true events, Mike De Leon’s psychological thriller unspools with terrifying precision, exposing the violent extremes of patriarchal power. A new 4K restoration will be screened.
