Spring Hike with Shuttle Service

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 25, 2026 — it’s going to be an adventure you won’t want to miss!

🚐 Shuttle Service
Starting at 8:30 AM, the first shuttle will depart from Defeated Creek Park, with shuttles running every 30 minutes until 9:30 AM. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just out for a fun day, we'll get you to the Overlook trailhead so you can take on the Bear Waller Gap Trail with ease! 🏞️

 

🍔 Complimentary Lunch
After your adventure, we’ve got you covered with a delicious FREE lunch provided by the awesome folks at Friends of Cordell Hull Lake. Come hungry, and celebrate your day of outdoor fun! 🍕

This is a perfect day for family, friends, or anyone who loves the outdoors. Whether you’re hiking, biking, or just soaking in the scenery, it’s going to be a day to remember.

Welcome back for our 2026 season here at Salt Lick Creek Campground! We hope this message finds you well. We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming events. We are excited to share our plans for this season and hoping you'll join us here at the campgrounds in making new memories!

 

Your presence would mean the world to us! Here are some important dates for you to remember as we kick off the new season at Salt Lick Creek.

 

May 9th Mothers Day 

Gift Basket for Mom 

Raffle tickets available for $3 each or 2 for $5. Ticket donations end @4pm on the 9th. 

 

May 23rd Memorial Day

 AM- 10:45 Bike Parade @Bathhouse #2 ( Don’t forget to decorate your bikes!)

PM- 8pm Side by side/Golf Cart Parade @The dump station 

 

May 30th Kick off to Summer Carnival!!!

Summer Starts! From 10am- 2pm @The basketball courts we are having our very first kick off to summer carnival and we hope to see you and the kids there. If you are interested in volunteering to help manage games and activities for the kids please reach our to us for sign up. Free for everyone!

 

June 20th Father’s Day 

Gift Basket for Dad

Raffle tickets available for $3 each or 2 for $5. Ticket donations end @4pm on the 20th.

 

July 4th Independence Day

AM- 10:45 Bike Parade @Bathhouse #2 ( Don’t forget to decorate your bikes!)

August 1st - September 30th fill a rescue boat

Bring any unwrapped toy $10 value or higher and receive a raffle ticket for each toy donated to enter a drawing for your chance at a free weekend of camping paid for by FOCHL!!! Items will be donated to Jackson County search & rescue for their toy drive for the holidays.

 

August 15th Bingo Night  6-8pm

Join us at the pavilion next to the swim beach for a fun evening of bingo! No cash prizes but prizes will be available to win!

 

September 6th Labor Day

PM- 8pm Side by side/Golf Cart Parade @The dump station

 

September 19th Karaoke Night

6-8pm (subject to change) @The Pavilion down by the swim beach. Do you love to sing, dance or have a talent you'd like to share? Then this is a night you won't want to miss! Come join us for a fun filled night of music and laughter!

 

October 3rd Fall Farewell

End of season potluck! Bring your favorite dish to share and let’s

have dinner together! 

 

These events promise to be an inspiring evening filled with great conversation, lots of laughs and memories to last a lifetime! More importantly, it is an opportunity for us to thank you personally for your unwavering support and dedication to our cause.

We deeply appreciate your ongoing commitment to Friends Of Cordell Hull Lake. Your contributions have made a significant impact, and with your continued support, we can achieve even greater things.
