FIRST PADDLE KICK-OFF 2026
While Augusta National's fairways host golf's greatest tournament, local pickleball courts will be teeing up a different kind of swing, as our First Paddle program returns this April! Our students will be led by our certified pickleball pros and caring mentors through skill-building games and activities that will help them on and off the court. At First Paddle, every child has the chance to shine, grow, and discover just how capable they truly are! Register fast, as spots are limited!

Horizon Foundation Car Give-away
Earlier this month one of our supporters, Dr. Mac Bowman, Founder of Horizon Foundation, held their car raffle event. A portion of the proceeds go to support the organization's mission of focusing on charitable efforts of service and support that improve lives and advance community actions.

HOMEGROWN Pickles
Our homeschool students built strong foundations on the court this month in the Intro to Pickleball class at Gregg Park Civic Center! These four Friday sessions taught them important pickleball fundamentals, created an atmosphere to make new friends, and, most importantly, taught them that, if you had FUN, you WON!

SAVE THE DATE: RALLY THE KIDS!
The date has been set for our annual Battle of the Paddles youth tournament! Be sure to mark your calendars for big fun on May 16th as our youth players serve up an action-packed day on the courts! More details and registration info coming soon.

Playing it Forward
A Colorado retiree discovered pickleball at a 2024 Pickleball & Pizza event and hasn't looked back. Now playing multiple times a week, this anonymous player found her way to give back through the Southern Pickleball Academy, volunteering at tournaments and youth events. "My cup floweth over," she says of the experience. Her greatest joy comes from teaching children — a feeling that came full circle when she spotted three boys she'd taught now teaching their own parents. Click here to read her full story.
