Cohort 11: Preparing the Ground for Transformation

Welcoming Cohort 11

This month, we took an important step toward welcoming 20 women into Cohort 11. Through phone interviews, office interviews, and home visits, we had the privilege of listening to their stories, learning about their challenges, and understanding their hopes for a better future.


Behind every cohort is a dedicated team of program coordinators, psychologists, and trainers who serve with compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment. Together, they walk alongside each woman, offering support, encouragement, and a path toward lasting change.

As Cohort 11 begins, we are believing for healing, renewed confidence, transformation, and new opportunities for every woman who joins this journey.

Behind the Scenes: How We Identify Women

Beyond the Application: Getting to Know Her Story

Many people see the transformation, but few see the thoughtful process that helps us identify and support the women who can benefit most from our programs. Our intake process ensures that assistance reaches those who need it most through a careful four-step approach:

  1. 📢 Community Mobilization & Referrals
    We begin by working closely with Chiefs, churches, local leaders, and community networks to identify women who may benefit from our programs. These trusted community partners help spread awareness and refer potential participants.
  2. 📞 Phone Interviews
    Initial conversations allow our team to learn about each woman's situation, understand her needs, and determine preliminary eligibility for the program.
  3. 🏢 Office Interviews
    Selected candidates are invited for in-person interviews where we gain a deeper understanding of their goals, challenges, and readiness to participate.
  4. 🏠 Home Visits
    Our team visits each woman's home to better understand her family environment, living conditions, and support system. This step helps ensure that our programs are tailored to her unique circumstances.

This comprehensive process allows us to make informed decisions, build meaningful relationships, and ensure that our support creates lasting impact in the lives of women and their families.

Looking Ahead: Cohort 11 Begins

September will be a month of transformation and celebration. We will welcome Cohort 11 as women begin their journey through business training, counseling, mentorship, and community support. We will also celebrate the graduation of the women who completed the program this year and launch our Teen IT Resource Center.
