As we move into the autumn months, it's clear how much can change in just a few short weeks. October was a month of real momentum across SOS! Special Educational Needs with new teams starting, services reopening, and our reach continuing to expand. Our Advice Centres saw 50 families welcomed for in-person support; they continue to be at the heart of our work. Through our partnerships with ULaw and UCL we welcomed a team of university students who will be supporting the Pre-action Protocol (PAP) letters team, adding fresh energy and ideas and building the next generation of advocates for SEND families.
We're also thrilled to announce the launch of our blog, which will feature news, interviews and articles from the world of SEND. This month, we speak to Dr Carrie Grant (MBE) and David Grant (MBE) about parenting in a neurodiverse household, the challenges faced with school systems and the crucial importance of community.

Supporter Shoutout
A huge thank you to Laura and her daughter Daisy who had a stall at a Halloween fundraiser on behalf SOS!SEN. They raised an amazing £162.
Laura said: “Daisy really enjoyed playing the ‘Find the Eyeball Under the Cup’ game with the children - they absolutely loved it! Our Trick or Treat Lucky Dip, complete with eyeballs and severed fingers, was also a big hit.”
If you'd like to fundraise for the charity, please email fundraising@sossen.org.uk
