Last Month's Highlights

Dads and Kids
Lego Club

Our Dads & Kids LEGO Club at St Cloud Library on Saturday June 27 was a lively and creative afternoon, with 9 dads and 14 children enjoying time together. The group filled the room with imagination as families built colourful models, shared ideas, and encouraged one another. The atmosphere stayed relaxed and friendly throughout, giving dads and children a simple but meaningful space to connect. It was a positive, well‑attended session that left everyone heading home happy and proud of what they’d made.

Fatherhood Explored Workshop

The Fatherhood Explored Workshop at St Cloud Library on Sunday June 28 brought together dads from the local community for a focused, reflective, and interactive session. The group explored the four EPIC roles of fatherhood — Encourager, Provider, Instructor, and Carer — sharing experiences and thinking about how each role shows up in daily family life. It was a warm, supportive conversation that helped dads deepen their understanding and confidence in their fatherhood journey.

Family and Community Outreach

EPIC Dad also spent the weekend out in the community, giving out family activity bags along East Lake Toho on Lakeshore Blvd in St Cloud on Friday evening (June 26th) and again at Soldier City Market in Veteran’s Park on Saturday morning (June 27th). These free bags were a simple, practical way to support local families with fun activities that encourage play, connection, and quality time together, while also helping raise awareness of EPIC Dad’s ongoing work and groups across the area.

We have made a great link with our friends from Cornerstone Connections and they run a weekly virtual fatherhood class every Tuesday evening at 5:30pm to 7:30pm. EPIC Dad is planning to attend and support these classes on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The Zoom meetings are a great way to get to know other fathers and discuss fatherhood. Please click on the link below to find out more and complete the online form to receive the Zoom link. Hope to see you there!
