Setting The PACE for a Better Pine Hills

Together, We Can Make A Difference

Participation • Accessibility • Collaboration • Excellence

Message from the President

Dear Pine Hills Community,

As we celebrate Juneteenth today, we honor the enduring pursuit of freedom, equality, and opportunity while reflecting on both the progress we have made and the work that remains. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience, courage, and determination of those who fought for liberty, justice, and a better future for generations to come.

At the Pine Hills Community Council, we believe strong communities are built through participation, accessibility, collaboration, and excellence. Juneteenth reminds us that meaningful progress happens when neighbors come together, support one another, and create opportunities for all.

June also marks Caribbean American Heritage Month, Immigrant Heritage Month, and Pride Month, recognizing the diverse voices, experiences, and contributions that continue to enrich and strengthen our community.

Here in Pine Hills, those values are reflected every day through service, civic engagement, and community partnership. This month has already showcased the power of collective action through our Juneteenth Community Clean Up, the continued growth of the People's Hob Nob & Straw Poll, expanding membership, and initiatives that support residents and students. Please find our PHCC Updates below in this email.

Thank you for helping us set the PACE for a Better Pine Hills through Participation, Accessibility, Collaboration, and Excellence. Together, we can make a difference.

With Gratitude & Purpose,
Julien Serrano-O'Neil, MNM, MPA, ACNP

Juneteenth Community Clean Up Success

Juneteenth Community Clean Up

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Juneteenth Community Clean Up! Residents, volunteers, and community partners came together to help beautify Pine Hills and reinforce our shared commitment to a clean, safe, and prosperous community.

A special thank you to our Adopt-A-Road Chair, Ms. Candie Washington, for her leadership in organizing this effort, as well as the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Orange County PEDS, Orange County Public Works, the United Foundation of Central Florida and its Future Leaders United Program, Our Mothers' Village, the Cashmere Infinity Gibson Foundation, Melissa Vickers, Esq., Orlando City Commissioner Shan Rose, and the many residents who generously volunteered their time and energy.

Together, we are setting the PACE for a Better Pine Hills and demonstrating the impact that is possible when our community comes together.
