Black Physicians of Utah

September is Healthy Aging Awareness Month

Supporting Health and Wellness
Every Stage of Life

This September, Black Physicians of Utah is highlighting Healthy Aging—practical steps that help us maintain our independence, mobility, mental wellness and community connections throughout life. Regular movement, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, preventive care, fall prevention and staying socially connected can all support aging well.

Healthy aging begins at every age, and small, consistent choices can make a meaningful difference. Supporting older adults also means supporting the people who care for them.

BPOU encourages older adults, caregivers, and families to be proactive about preventive care, ask questions about changes in their health, stay physically and socially active when possible.
