![]() October 4, Newsletter Fall Festival UpdatePlanning for the Fall Festival is moving quickly, and we are starting to lock in more of the details for November 13. One new idea we are working on this year is an activity wristband. Instead of needing tickets for every small game or activity, the wristband would give students access to many of the festival activities that have little or no operating cost. Some attractions, food, and other special activities would still use tickets separately. We are also working through how tickets and advance purchases should be structured. At our next planning meeting, we could especially use help deciding how some of the individual tickets and presale items should be priced. If you have opinions about what feels affordable, simple, and family-friendly, this is a good meeting to join. We are also putting together this year’s raffle and silent auction. Our current plan is to use several of the higher-value prize packages for a silent auction, with additional gift baskets and prizes available through the raffle. By mid-October, we are planning to have a dedicated Fall Festival webpage ready with the attractions, pricing, presale information, and other details all in one place so families can see exactly what to expect before the event. We value your input as we work through these decisions, and we truly cannot pull off an event like this without the great Lineweaver community behind us. More details, including ticket preorders and volunteer signups, will be coming soon. Did you Know? The PTO helps pay for things families may never realize are not fully covered by the school budget. Lineweaver PTO is a nonprofit, and everyone involved is a volunteer. The money we raise goes back into supporting students, teachers, classrooms, clubs, and other needs that come up throughout the year. If a teacher needs something for their students, we provide for that need as fast as we can. That $5 you donated through our A La Carte Support page for field trip transportation? We can dip into that fund when a teacher or school administrator comes to us and asks if we can help cover the remaining balance for a field trip so that no student is excluded because of cost. The same idea applies to classroom requests, student programs, clubs, supplies, and other needs. The A La Carte page lets families and community members support something specific and see how even a small contribution can become part of something much bigger. Upcoming EventsFamily Engagement |
