Vendor applications open for The People's Market

Moniqué Mercurio, a member of our artist selection committee and owner of Primitive Path Consulting,

is now offering rental space in The People's Market.

The People's Market is a unique collaborative space in Lawrence's downtown district supporting local makers, artists, and creators. Sell your wares, host workshops, classes, pop-ups, demonstrations, or dream up a new community-centered event.

We at OpenStudios see The People's Market as complementing our own work and enthusiastically support Moniqué's efforts.

One more month to visit Andante Home

Candle makers Andante Home are now one month into their two month residency at our first OpenStudios storefront. Come visit them at 745 New Hampshire St. in downtown Lawrence while you still can.

"Candle makers? Are these guys really artists?" Glad you asked. Dell and Nate create each candle as a carefully composed narrative --- a blend of cultures, emotions, and artisanal expertise. Their hand-poured treasures are crafted with the kind of intention that transforms a simple room into a sanctuary, a house into a home.

And besides, you just have to meet shop dog Willow, a darling, sweet little pup with a personality three times her size.

You can find Andante Home's hours on their Instagram.

Didja See? Didja See?

Both KSHB Channel 41 and The Lawrence Times covered OpenStudios Lawrence's grand opening!

OpenStudios Lawrence and Andante Home loved talking with both KSHB and the Lawrence Times...but Dell and Nate's dog Willow stole the show.
