Here’s What’s New at Trinity Metropolitan Community ChurchDear Friend
Thanks to your support, Trinity Metropolitan Community Church continues to grow and serve more in need. Here’s a look at what’s new this month:
A word from Rev CatherineYesterday, we began our new series, Stories of the Land: Faith, Identity & Belonging, by exploring what the land itself might teach us about faith. We reflected on Psalm 104 and Genesis 1, reminding ourselves that creation is not simply something we own or use, but something we belong to and depend upon. We also explored Indigenous wisdom and the importance of listening to the people, cultures and traditions whose voices have too often been overlooked. We were challenged to think differently about our relationship with the world around us. Perhaps caring for the earth, protecting our water, respecting animals and listening to one another are all expressions of faith.
We finished with three simple invitations: be more grateful, become better listeners, and take greater responsibility for the beautiful world we share. After all, we haven't been given creation to destroy, but to care for.
