Happy Spring
from Calling Up Justice!

Jesenia here: The spring equinox was filled with the intensity of the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse for us in Calling Up Justice. We had the immense honor and responsibility of hosting the Livestream and Virtual Memorial for our beloved friend and ancestor Alice Wong in partnership with the San Francisco Disability Cultural Center. As if that wasn’t enough, we also had a packed week of programming and events that required us to rely heavily on our community for support! We supported a Garden Party with DJCC, Produced 3 trainings, OBS, Zoom, and Performing Arts, a 5 panelist Trek Talk 2-part livestream, staged an Accessible No Kings space in the Calling Up Justice Digital Encampment,  and attended Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha’s new book release. Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported us through this time of grief, crip-community care, and collective action.
