WELCOME THE BEEFS NEW HEAD COACH

Scott Wilkinson is the new Head Coach of the London Beefeaters!

The London Beefeaters are proud to announce the appointment of Scott Wilkinson as the new head coach.

A veteran of the London football community with over 15 years of coaching and executive experience, Wilkinson is set to lead the program defined by athlete development, organizational professionalism, and community engagement.

Wilkinson joins the program with an extensive resume, most recently serving as the President of the London Minor Football Association (LMFA) from 2022 to 2025. His tenure as President was marked by strategic leadership, overseeing large-scale league operations, and a steadfast commitment to athlete safety and governance.

“Coach Wilkinson is more than just a football strategist; he is a proven program builder. His unique combination of on-field expertise and executive leadership makes him the ideal person to foster a winning culture while strengthening our ties to the community.”

Coach Wilkinson’s coaching philosophy is built on five core pillars:

  • Athlete-First Development: Prioritizing the growth of players both as competitors and individuals.
  • Accountability & Discipline: Establishing a standard of effort that translates to success on and off the field.
  • Strong Team Culture: Focusing on leadership development at every level of the roster.
  • Preparation & Adaptability: Ensuring the program is ready for any challenge through rigorous planning.
  • Community Pride: Representing the organization with the highest level of professionalism.

In addition to his 15+ years of coaching with the LMFA and the Forest City Thunderbirds, Wilkinson is the founder of 1st Team Football Clinics, a development program focused on skill-building and athlete exposure.

“I am honored to take on this role and get to work. My goal is to build a program that our athletes are proud to play for and our community is proud to support. We will be disciplined, we will be prepared, and we will focus every day on the development of our young men.”

🔸OFC decision regarding the GTA Grizzlies

Following consultation between the Ontario Football Conference (“OFC”) and the GTA Grizzlies Football Club (the “GTA Grizzlies”), it has been determined that the competition level of the Canadian Junior Football League (“CJFL”) is no longer an appropriate fit for the GTA Grizzlies.

Accordingly, it has been decided that the GTA Grizzlies will not participate in OFC play for the 2026 season.  This decision reflects a shared focus on athlete development, organizational readiness and long-term sustainability of the organization.  The GTA Grizzlies will continue to remain active in football operations and community-based programming and will continue working toward future opportunities that are more aligned with their developmental pathway.

The OFC would like to acknowledge the efforts put forward by their dedicated volunteers, in particular Coleen and Mark Houlder, and the OFC appreciates the GTA Grizzlies’ cooperation and commitment to acting in the best interests of their athletes and amateur football in Canada.

🔸The CJFL in conjunction with the football franchise in Quinte are pleased to announce the new brand coming to the Ontario Conference in 2026, the Quinte Riptides, formerly known as the Skyhawks.
