FALL NEWSLETTER

From the Executive Director's Desk

Dear Janice,

“Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier.” – Mother Teresa

As fall arrives, we are filled with gratitude for the love and care you extend to moms and babies through Birthright. This fall, I had the privilege of attending the Birthright International Convention, where over 200 Birthright directors and representatives from across the U.S., Canada, and Africa gathered under the theme “All You Need Is Love.” The message was clear: love knows no borders — and your generosity here in Lake County is part of something much bigger.

Because of you, moms and babies in our own community are experiencing that love in very real ways. So far in 2025, together we have:

  • Clothed and diapered 1,160 infants and toddlers

  • Supported 742 moms and families

  • Welcomed 84 new babies

  • Nourished 327 infants with formula

  • Walked alongside 149 maternity clients

Every one of these numbers represents a story of hope — a child in clean clothes, a baby fed, a mother who feels supported and less alone.

Your kindness is more than material help; it is love in action. Thank you for walking this path with us and for making sure no one comes to Birthright without leaving better and happier.

Our recent client survey says it best:

the #1 and #2 ways Birthright helps moms are by reducing stress and making their children healthier and happier.

When stress is lifted from a mom’s shoulders, she has more room to breathe, to love, and to focus on what matters most—her baby. A calmer, supported mom means a healthier, happier child.

At Birthright, the essence of what we do is simple: love in action. One heart at a time, we’re here to walk with moms so they don’t have to carry the weight alone.
