Dear Music Families and Staff,
February remains a busy month for our music programs, with students actively participating in rehearsals, performances, and winter competition seasons, while also preparing for upcoming spring concerts and events. We are also one month closer to our upcoming California trip, and anticipation continues to grow for this exciting experience for our NHS students.
Additionally, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who volunteered, donated, attended, and supported our Annual Tricky Tray Fundraiser held on January 24. From securing donations and assembling baskets to assisting during the event, the dedication and generosity of our volunteers and supporters contributed to the event's great success. We look forward to sharing the results at our March meeting.
We are especially proud of the students who auditioned for honors ensembles and those who were selected. These talented musicians will represent Nutley with pride and excellence, and we congratulate them on this significant achievement.
Over the next month, we will also be launching our $1,000 Amazon Gift Card Raffle, offering an exciting opportunity to support our music programs while giving participants a chance to win a fantastic prize. We also invite you to join us at Jersey Mike’s on February 17 for our next Dine to Donate event.

NHS Winter Guard 2026
Season Kicked Off January 24

Our NHS Winter Guard commenced their 2026 competition season at West Orange High School on Saturday, January 24. We wish them the best of success as they advance through their season.
Their next competition will be held this Saturday, February 7 at Lakeland Regional High School.

Football Mania "Super Bowl Squares"

All e-tickets must be purchased by kick off on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8
Fundraising Credit: $7 for every $10 e-ticket sold
Match the numbers on your game card with the scores of the Super Bowl at the end of each quarter. The more matches you have, the more you can win — just like a Super Bowl squares pool, with prizes up to $10,000!

Shop-Rite Can Shake - Saturday, 4/4

The Sunday, April 4 can shake sign up will open up on Saturday, March 21 at 12 noon via the BAND App and is open to all students in Grades 7-12.
As previously communicated, only a student’s parent or the student themselves may sign up for a Can Shake shift. If anyone other than the parent or student signs someone up, that name will be removed from the schedule.
