SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER! A message from KrisI am a summer girl, I have always been a lover of the long warm days filled with outdoor swims, runs, bike rides, outdoor music, BBQ’s and dinner every night on the patio.
So, it may come as a surprise to some of you to learn that my favorite month of the year, the one I think is the most beautiful month of all is SEPTEMBER!
The days and nights get a bit cooler, kids are back in school, the farmers and gardeners begin to harvest the healthy, colorful, produce that fill our plates and nourish our bodies. The days become a little shorter but there is still an abundance of light in which to play outside. Some leaves may begin to turn into the color of gold, less water is required for the garden and lawn, fall sports are in full swing and things start to feel ‘settled’.
As we reflect on the activities and growth of the Warrior Princess Foundation, we are feeling like we have been successful ‘farmers’. The seeds were planted in the spring, nourished and weeded during the summer and reaping its rewards as fall approaches. Beautiful nourishment abounds. We invite YOU, and ALL of your friends, to join us on Saturday, September 26 for an afternoon of family friendly activities, live music (3:30-8:00), Food Truck, a custom made Pilsner and Seltzer, and an opportunity to bid on amazing online auction items!
