Inclusion in Action: Where We’ve Been 💙

Disability Resource Symposium

We were honored to attend this year’s Disability Resource Symposium, a meaningful one-day event that brings together families, caregivers, and organizations across West Michigan. As a participating organization, Renew Mobility enjoyed engaging with the community, offering guidance, and helping connect attendees with mobility solutions and support services. We’re grateful to be part of such an impactful event and look forward to continuing these connections!

"Let's Talk About It" Parkinsons Event

We were excited to attend the “Let’s Talk About It” Parkinson’s educational event at the Pinnacle Center. This informative event brought together individuals, caregivers, and professionals to learn more about Parkinson’s and available support resources.

Renew Mobility was proud to participate as a vendor in the resource fair, where we had the opportunity to connect with attendees. The event had a great turnout, and we’re so grateful to have been part of such a supportive and engaged community!

Disability Awareness Day

Renew Mobility was proud to participate in Disability Awareness Day, hosted by Disability Advocates of Kent County. This annual event brings together individuals with disabilities, advocates, agency staff, and community members for a day of learning, networking, and connection. Attendees heard from inspiring keynote speakers, including Rynita McGuire, Miss Wheelchair Michigan 2025, and Elizabeth Hertel, Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Renew Mobility was on-site sharing resources and connecting with the community to support individuals and families impacted by disabilities. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community and be part of such an impactful event!

✨Volunteer Spotlight: Andy✨

Andy has been a dedicated volunteer with Renew Mobility for 1 year and 8 months, contributing about six hours each week. He helps with data entry, updating Salesforce, and special projects, bringing both skill and heart to everything he does. Andy first started volunteering after retiring, seeking a meaningful way to give back, and quickly found Renew Mobility to be a perfect fit. He continues to volunteer because of the amazing people and supportive environment, as well as the clients he gets to assist. His favorite part? Working alongside such a fantastic team. Outside of volunteering, Andy enjoys cooking and baking.

🤝Community Spotlight🤝

We’re incredibly grateful to Community West Credit Union for their support this past month! Through their partnership with Renew Mobility, they helped raise awareness about our mission in meaningful ways. Their team created and shared a video highlighting the work we do, displayed flyers across their branch locations, and encouraged donations from their members to support our programs. Thanks to their efforts, more people in our community are learning about the importance of mobility and how they can make a difference.

We’re also grateful to Above Roofing, their team organized a community-wide coin and pop can drive, bringing together employees, clients, and local supporters to raise funds for Renew Mobility. This effort not only helps provide essential mobility equipment to those in need, but also supports their mission to raise awareness for trisomy and the individuals and families impacted by it. We’re so thankful for their generosity, community spirit, and commitment to making a meaningful difference!
