With the clocks changing and the daylight stretching further into the evening, we're getting that familiar buzz of the cycle season returning. While we're all still guessing what and how many layers to wear when we're heading out, one thing is for certain, there are more rides happening as people are dusting off their saddles and getting out and about.
Maybe 'I should ride more' is turning into reality for you too? Whether you're already rolling or just thinking about pumping the tyres, we've got you covered this month with another bumper month of activities, courses and the usual Hub offerings, as well as some new additions for our younger supporters - there's something for everyone.

Why not join us for a social ride (further details in our events poster below), or if you are interested in joining us as a volunteer and making a difference in your local community we would love to hear from you. Youth sessions at the Hub
|
Carrying on our youth engagement sessions, we're thrilled to be offering more youth activities over the Easter holidays.
We're welcoming @artbytamzin36 back to the Hub as she guides your young people through some Easter themed art at the Hub. Be quick to book your tickets as this session sold out last time! Sign up via Eventbrite.
|
We are also launching 'Hub Club'; a regular session for young people to come to the Hub and work with a mechanic to fix minor issues on their bike. This session will start in the Easter holidays and then run weekly on Wednesdays between 3pm-5pm.
Hub Club is open to young people to come and fix minor issues they're experiencing with their bikes. Our mechanics will work with your young people to help build their knowledge and skills and make sure their bike is ready to go again.
There's no need to book, just turn up!

Do you recycle your inner tubes?
We take recycling seriously at the Hub and try to do everything we can to minimise waste and prevent things going to landfill. We're happy to take your used tubes and add them to our tube recycling, all we ask is that you drop them to us with the valve cut off and neatly rolled to save space and we can take care of the rest!

Easter Trail - have you seen our egg?
|
Spring has truly sprung at the Hub with our fantastic new window art! @artbytamzin36 popped back to bring some colour to our windows with her bike themed art and we're delighted with the results!
We also think it compliments the Easter Egg we have in our display as part of the St Mary's Primary School Easter Trail. The trail runs between 1st & 19th April so make sure you pop by!
|
Do you want to get out and about more on your bike but are feeling a bit rusty?
Perhaps you'd like to beat the traffic jams, improve your fitness or save some fuel money by switching out some car journeys?
We'll soon be back with our Rusty Riders courses and we'd love you to join us. New dates will be released soon but in the meantime, more information can be found here: Rusty Riders

FREE Maintenance Courses!
|
Every month we offer a FREE maintenance course that you can sign up to and build your bike maintenance knowledge. This is then followed the next week with the opportunity for you to put those skills to the test under the expert eyes of our volunteers when you can come back for our practice course. These sessions are a great opportunity to build your skills and knowledge and then cement this with hands on experience.
|
April's course will be filled with everything you need to know to ensure the gears on your bike are kept in tip-top working order. This is a great session and will help you to get your bike fine-tuned ready for the lovely sunny evening rides ahead!
|
Places for the courses are limited so make sure you sign up via Eventbrite to secure your spot! (If you're unable to attend after you've booked on, we'll be sad not to see you but we understand! Please cancel your place via Eventbrite so we know who to expect and so your place can be snaffled up by someone else - we often have waiting lists for these events!)
