PAMANA, FASO Visit Madison College for Filipino American History Month

PAMANA and FASO booths and exhibit at Madison College.

PAMANA and UW-Madison's Filipinx American Student Organization (FASO) had a joint outreach last Wednesday at the Madison College to commemorate Filipino American History Month.

The event space at the Truax campus was packed with Madison College students who visited our exhibit and interactive booths. Attendees tried their hands at lumpia making, had their arms designed with precolonial batok tattoos in washable ink, and learned how the Philippine and U.S. histories are tied together.

PAMANA and FASO thank the Madison College's Student Life Department for the invitation. We look forward for more collaboration in the future. Mabuhay, Madison College!

UW Homecoming and Philippine Badgers

Last week was UW Homecoming, when the university welcomed back its alumni for a week of activities culminating in the annual homecoming football game last Saturday (let's not talk about the results).

Did you know that UW-Madison’s first overseas alumni chapter was founded in Manila in 1908? This factoid is inscribed on campus at the Alumni Park overlooking Lake Mendota.

This piece of history is also included in PAMANA's photo exhibit currently showing at the Madison and Edgerton Public Libraries. We guarantee that your visit to our exhibit will definitely be a learning experience. (See details above for more info.)

Forward Madison Official Team Photo

Last Saturday was also Forward Madison's final home game for the season. Our beloved soccer team won against Chattanooga Red Wolves, 2-1.

After the game, Forward Madison publicly released their official 2025 team photo. The image features the PAMANA x Forward Madison Sampaguita goalkeeper kit worn by Filipino Bernd Schipmann and Wallis Lapsley (front row, middle).
