September's Motto:

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” — Maya Angelou

Volunteer Spotlight

Steven, one of our newest volunteers, who joined us for MainStreet Night Out and helped make the evening a welcoming and meaningful experience for our community. 💛🐥

Renovated Space

We are still working to make our office as comfortable, welcoming, and supportive as possible. Little by little, we are creating a space where everyone who walks through our doors can feel safe, respected, and at home. 💛🐥

New Community Partnerships

💛 Community Supporting Community 🐥

This month, I had the opportunity to facilitate a group with Just Lee Counseling, and it was such a meaningful experience.

One of the best parts of this work is being able to support other organizations that are doing incredible things in our community. Collaboration isn’t about who gets the credit—it’s about showing up for one another and making sure the people we serve have the support they need.

When organizations work together, our entire community becomes stronger. We are grateful for Just Lee Counseling and the opportunity to continue building relationships that make a difference. 💛

Together, we can do so much more.

Thank you to John Kriehbel @ KDEM Radio for the continued support and encouragement!

💛 Friendly Reminder from Desert O.A.S.I.S. 🐥

At Desert O.A.S.I.S., we pride ourselves on transparency, accountability, and being accessible to our community.

If you have a question, want to learn more about what we are doing, or simply need support, please feel free to make an appointment or stop by our office. Our door is open, and we are always happy to have a conversation.

Our Board Meetings are also open to the community. Meeting links are available on our website and will be shared right here on our page.

Ask questions. Stay involved. Come see what we’re building together. 💛

🏠💛 COMING SOON: Desert O.A.S.I.S. @ The Mitchell

We’re getting closer! 🐥

We are currently working toward our NARR certification, getting furniture in place, preparing the residence, and soon we’ll be walking the neighborhood to introduce ourselves and connect with our neighbors.

Our anticipated Open House is planned for early October, and we cannot wait to open the doors and show our community what we have been building.

This is more than a house—it’s another step toward creating opportunity, accountability, support, independence, and stability for people rebuilding their lives.

Get ready, Deming. Desert O.A.S.I.S. @ The Mitchell House is coming soon! 💛🏠🐥
