🚚💙 A milestone moment at Feed The City!

For the first time ever, our volunteers delivered over 1,000 boxes of food in a single month, a record set this March.

This is an incredible achievement and a testament to the commitment, reliability, and heart our volunteers bring to every route. Their dedication helps neighbours who can’t access their local food banks because of mobility, health, transportation, or caregiving barriers.

While we’re celebrating this milestone, it also reflects something we’ve seen for months: the need for emergency food delivery has always been there, and it continues to grow. More households are reaching out for help, and our volunteers are stepping up every single day.

To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and compassion, thank you. You are the backbone of this work. 💙💛

NEW PARTNER - Tungasuvvingat Inuit!

We’re proud to share that Feed The City will begin a new partnership with Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to support emergency food access for Inuit community members across Ottawa. TI provides vital cultural, social, and practical supports for Inuit families, and this partnership bridges a crucial gap for those facing food insecurity.

As demand for emergency food services continues to grow across the city, collaborations like this help us reach more households quickly and respectfully. We’re grateful to TI for their trust, and we look forward to working together to support the wellbeing of Inuit community members who rely on this essential service.

Thank you Kiera!

For the first time in almost 6 years, our Executive Director, Michelle, was able to enjoy a holiday!

Kiera is a Social Services Worker student from Algonquin College who has been working behind the scenes at Feed The City since February. She is a quick learner and Michelle was comfortable handing her the reins while she was away and Kiera did a great job!
