This is a time of harvest and abundance, and we have so much to celebrate. Ry has been amazing organizing behind the scenes and everyone else has been producing up a storm. We’re co-leading the Vallejo Arts Fund, which will distribute $1 million over the next two years. As advisors to the Disability Culture Center, we were thrilled by this year’s Superfest Disability Film Festival—a powerful celebration of storytelling, access, and artistry.
Maiamama guested on the Meh Generation Podcast to talk about Star Trek, and her livestreams continue to thrive. Our Digital Encampment hosted another 24-hour livestream of Palestinian Theater, uplifting art and resistance from around the world. Jesenia continues to do powerful leadership work with the Disability Justice Culture Club, building community through care and creativity.
One Free Community is continuing to host joyful and accessible activities that anyone can sign up for or help organize. GJ is giving great facilitation there. Maiamama also finished a new video game inspired by banned words, commissioned by playwright Erik Ehn—a bold work of art and resistance.
We’re also officially launching our Money Please Giving Tuesday livestream on December 2. Read our latest essay to learn why we’re building a stage for others to raise funds, and how, when our community rises, we rise together.
