We are honored to share a special moment: at our HOPE in Full Bloom Gala on March 28, the City of Vista presented an official proclamation declaring “Cindy Taylor Day,” recognizing a woman whose compassion, leadership, and dedication have left a lasting imprint on our community.

We were honored to see this recognition at our HOPE in Full Bloom Gala, where Cindy also received Operation HOPE–North County’s Board Legacy Award. This award celebrates the deep and lasting impact she has made over more than 20 years of service.

Cindy Taylor truly shows what it means to lead with heart.

Cindy’s journey with Operation HOPE started at a community booth during Vista’s Strawberry Festival, not in a boardroom. What began as simple curiosity turned into a lifelong commitment to supporting families experiencing homelessness, standing up for their resilience, dignity, and ability to rebuild.

Over the years, Cindy has taken on many leadership roles, offering not just strategic guidance but also unwavering compassion. She has helped make Operation HOPE a place where families are supported as they work to build new futures, rather than being defined by their circumstances.

Why does Cindy care so much about Operation HOPE–North County?

Because she has seen real change happen firsthand, she has witnessed children go from instability to thriving in school.

She has watched parents regain confidence, find jobs, and move into stable homes.

She has seen hope grow in places where it once seemed impossible.

As Cindy shares:
